How Dipsea Pays Its Vendors
Dipsea collects payment from the traveler at the time of booking and releases your payout after the service has been successfully delivered. This structure protects both vendors and travelers from cancellations, no-shows, and disputes.
The Payout Flow
- A traveler books your service through the Dipsea app and pays in full at checkout.
- You receive an in-app booking notification with customer and booking details.
- You deliver the trip or activity on the booking date.
- After the trip or activity is marked completed in the app, the booking enters the payout queue.
- You submit a payout request through the vendor app.
- Dipsea releases the payment to your registered bank account according to the agreed payout cycle.
Why Is Payout Only Released After the Trip?
Holding payment until completion is standard for marketplace platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, Klook all follow the same pattern). It gives travelers the confidence to book in advance, protects against no-show disputes, and lets Dipsea offer fair cancellation refunds without creating losses for vendors.
When You Will Get Paid
Payouts are processed according to the payout cycle defined in your Vendor Agreement — this is communicated clearly during onboarding. Funds are transferred directly to the bank account you registered in the Dipsea app. You can view the status of each payout (pending, processing, paid) in the Transactions section of the app.
Registering Your Bank Details
- Open the Dipsea app and go to Account.
- Tap Bank Details.
- Enter your bank name, account number, and account holder name.
- Tap Save. We verify the details within one working day.
Bank details must match your business registration name. Mismatched details will delay your first payout while we verify the account.
Cancellations and Refunds
The cancellation policy you set on each listing determines whether a refund is issued if a traveler cancels. Choose one of three policies when creating a listing:
- Flexible — full refund if cancelled more than 24 hours before the trip.
- Moderate — full refund if cancelled more than 5 days before the trip.
- Strict — no refund for cancellations within 7 days of the trip.
If a refund is issued to the traveler, that booking does not enter your payout queue.
Submitting a Claim
If you need to raise an issue on a booking (no-show, damage, refund request), use the Claims section of the vendor app. Our team reviews each claim and responds within two working days.
Are There Any Payout Fees?
Dipsea does not charge vendors a commission or payout fee. Your bank may apply its own incoming transfer fees depending on your account type — please check with your bank for their FPX or IBG charges.
