Dipsea Vendor FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about becoming and operating as a Dipsea vendor. Can't find your answer? Email hello@dipseaisland.com.

Does Dipsea charge vendors a commission?

No. Dipsea does not deduct any commission from vendor payouts. You receive 100% of the price you list. Dipsea earns through a service fee charged separately to the customer at checkout.

Is it free to register as a Dipsea vendor?

Yes. Registration is free, with no setup fees and no monthly subscription. You only start earning — and paying nothing — once travelers book your services.

How long does vendor approval take?

Vendor accounts are typically verified within 24 hours of application. You will receive an email once your account is approved.

What service categories can I list on Dipsea?

Dipsea supports seven categories: Accommodation, Activity, Day Trip, Rental, Island Taxi, Ferry, and Boat Transfer. See the What You Can List guide for details on each.

How do I list my service?

Listings are created inside the Dipsea vendor app using a 3-step wizard: Basic info, Details, and Media. See the Create a Listing guide for the full walkthrough.

How many photos can I upload per listing?

You can upload up to 8 photos per listing. Each photo must be under 5 MB and at least 1080 pixels wide. Landscape orientation is preferred.

Can I set different prices for peak and off-peak seasons?

Yes. Each listing has a Low Season Price and a High Season Price. Dipsea automatically applies the correct rate based on the travel dates the customer selects.

When will I receive my payout?

Payouts are released after the trip or activity has been successfully completed. Funds are transferred directly to your registered bank account according to the payout cycle defined in your Vendor Agreement.

How do I register my bank account for payouts?

Go to Account → Bank Details inside the Dipsea vendor app, enter your bank name, account number, and account holder name, then save. Verification takes up to one working day.

What happens if a customer cancels?

Refunds follow the cancellation policy you set on each listing (Flexible, Moderate, or Strict). Refunded bookings do not enter your payout queue.

Can I list in multiple categories?

Yes. Many vendors operate across categories — for example a resort may list Accommodation, Activity (on-site diving), and Boat Transfer. Each listing is managed independently in the app.

Can I edit my listing after it goes live?

Yes. You can edit any listing from the Edit screen. Changes to price apply to new bookings only; confirmed bookings retain the price they were booked at.

Can I block out specific dates when my service is unavailable?

Yes. Use the Set Availability button on the Services tab to block dates for maintenance, personal use, or any other reason.

How do I communicate with customers?

Every booking has a dedicated chat thread inside the app. Use it to coordinate arrival times, share directions, or answer service-related questions.

What if there is a problem with a booking?

Open a claim from Account → Claims with the booking reference and a brief description. Dipsea support reviews claims and responds within two working days.

Is Dipsea available outside Terengganu?

Yes. While Dipsea focuses on Malaysian island destinations, the platform supports vendors across Malaysia — including Perhentian, Redang, Tioman, Langkawi, Pangkor, and more.

What languages does Dipsea support?

The app and platform are available in Malay (BM) and English. Customer support is also provided in both languages.

How can I contact Dipsea for help?

Email hello@dipseaisland.com. For quick questions once your account is approved, you can also use in-app support.
